No School on Friday

Just a friendly reminder, we do not have school on April 6th! I hope everyone enjoyed their Spring Break. Looking forward to seeing all the kiddos on Monday.

Sink and Float Party

Sink and Float Party

The Sink and Float Party was a hit! We had so much fun drinking root beer floats, making an oil and water bottle project, and sinking our boats! Here are some pictures captured from the party!

Read Across America

Another way we participated in Read Across America was by having a mystery reader for the whole second grade. Mrs. Smith set up to have a mystery reader for each grade level. Our mystery reader was the fire chief of Aurora. He came in to read The Lorax. He also answered a lot of our questions!

In honor of Read Across America Day and celebrating Dr. Seuss books, the students in 2B had fun playing a green eggs and ham game with partners. It is similar to tic-tac-toe but uses eggs and hams.

Baby Oil

We are in need of Baby Oil. We will be using it to make a FUN project at our Sink and Float party. If you could please send in one large bottle that would be very much appreciated!

Super Science

Today Samay's mother came to teach us super science. We learned about surface tension. We were able to participate in an experiment and become scientists. We had a lot of fun and learned some new information. Take a look..........
